Wading Birds
Wading birds are another obsession of mine, though they’re not a species I often find close to home, so opportunities to photograph them are limited. A few trips to Cornwall, Chichester, and Norway have been particularly rewarding.
Photographing them is no easy task—you often have to crawl slowly across the sand, inching closer without disturbing them. Then it becomes a waiting game, hoping they’ll wander your way. But when it works, it’s truly special. If you’re lucky, you find yourself surrounded by these remarkable birds, completely at ease with your presence. It’s a quiet kind of magic.
