Whispers of the wild. Each piece offers a moment of pause—quietly showcasing the beauty of the natural world.

Solitude

After a night of heavy snowfall, the mountain was blanketed in a thick layer of white, transforming the landscape into a quiet, pristine winter wonderland. This made it difficult to spot the well-camouflaged Hares. With patience, I eventually managed to find one. Carefully, I approached, and I was able to capture some intimate portraits of this elusive creature against the silent, snow-covered backdrop.

Phantom of the Night

One evening, while photographing a Barn Owl, I watched as it perched in one of the trees overlooking the field. The owl often used these trees to survey the area and listen for any movement in the grass below. I took this opportunity to capture an environmental shot, highlighting the contrast between the Barn Owl's bright white feathers and the dark, shadowed trees around it.

Love at First Light

On an early Autumn morning, my local lake was wrapped in a thick mist. But when the sun finally peeked through, it painted everything with a gorgeous golden glow. I found the perfect spot to capture the swans in silhouette, and then, as if on cue, I got lucky! This pair decided to perform their courtship, creating natures. It was such a sweet moment, and once their courtship is complete, they’re bonded for life.

Race Against the Tide

On a chilly beach in Norway, I spotted a group of sanderlings darting around the sand, searching for food. They were constantly chasing each other away from the best spots, giving me some perfect photo opportunities. With the light fading fast, I quickly adjusted my settings, just managing to keep my shutter speed high enough to catch this one dashing back to the food after being chased off.

Serenade in the Mist

Each year, I make regular visits to my local lake, with spring being my favourite time — when the water comes alive with activity. My focus is usually on Great Crested Grebes and their elegant courtship displays. On this particular morning, mist billowed off the surface of the lake, and as the sun broke through the trees, it cast spectacular light across the scene — a perfect setting for observing these birds at their most expressive.

Whiteout

High in the Cairngorms, I found myself caught in a sudden snowstorm while photographing a mountain hare. The snow fell thick and fast, obscuring everything just a few meters ahead—but the wildness of the moment was too perfect to walk away from. I pressed on, drawn by the distant sound of Red Grouse wings in flight. After a patient search through the swirling white, I finally spotted this one, hunkered low against the storm. With the snow confusing the autofocus, I had to rely on manual focus—carefully bringing the grouse into view through the veil of winter.

Twilight Sentinel

As the sun dipped low over the cliffs of Skokholm, I spent a quiet evening photographing the last of the season’s puffins. Their migration was nearly over, and most had already taken flight, vanishing one by one into the fading light. But one remained—still, watchful, gazing out toward the horizon as if reluctant to leave.

What paper type

  1. Colour photos will be printed on Epsom Semi-Gloss: This has a photo-paper feel due to its neutral base tone and smooth low-gloss finish. Great colour reproduction and suited for photos with fine details. Most resistant in Giclée so it's the best for mounting.

  2. Black and White photos will be printed on Hahnemuhle Pearl: This is great for showing off incredible detail. Its medium weight and natural base tone makes it great for black and white photographic images. It has a smooth orange peel texture and light coating which gives a satin finish to the print.
