As my Great Crested Grebe project has developed, I’ve begun shifting my focus to the lake as a whole and all the wildlife it supports, rather than concentrating on a single species. This broader perspective has allowed me to capture a wider range of photographs and moments. I’ve really enjoyed this more flexible approach, as it lets me respond to whatever unfolds in front of me—adapting to the light, movement, and unexpected encounters that make each visit unique.
